Originally from Crowley, Louisiana, John values the responsibility and sense of connection that comes with living in a close-knit community. After completing his legal education in New Orleans, he was eager to return home and dedicate his practice to helping people in Acadiana and the surrounding areas navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
John earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he focused his studies on Louisiana civil law, civil procedure, trial advocacy, and personal injury–related coursework. During law school, he gained hands-on litigation experience clerking in personal injury and insurance matters, developing the diligence, attention to detail, and client-first approach he brings to every case. His academic training and practical experience provide him with valuable insight into how insurance companies evaluate, defend, and resolve claims.
At Kenny Habetz Injury Law, John is committed to fighting for people who have been injured through no fault of their own. He prioritizes clear communication and believes that trust is essential to providing effective and compassionate representation.
John is a member of the Lafayette Bar Association, Acadia Parish Bar Association, Baton Rouge Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, and the Louisiana State Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the Louisiana Supreme Court and all Louisiana state courts.
John is excited to be back home and honored to serve the communities of Lafayette, Acadia Parish, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans.
