Brenda Green began her legal career in 1997 after graduating from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. Prior to law school, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major from LSU. Brenda currently resides in Lafayette, Louisiana, with her husband, Darriel Green, and they have four adult children. Outside of her legal practice, Brenda enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, outdoor activities, reading, and playing mahjong.
Brenda’s career spans both sides of the legal field, beginning as a defense attorney, where she focused on personal injury defense, premises liability, maritime injury, and medical malpractice defense. She later transitioned to personal injury law, specializing in cases involving auto and tractor-trailer accidents, sexual harassment, slip and fall incidents, and whistleblower claims. After several successful years on the plaintiff’s side, Brenda returned to defense, representing major insurance companies and private businesses. Her defense practice included a strong emphasis on motion practice, where she consistently secured favorable outcomes for her corporate clients.
Now, Brenda has returned to her passion for personal injury law, where she finds fulfillment in building meaningful relationships with her clients and helping them through challenging times. Her extensive defense experience provides her with a unique perspective that allows her to better advocate for her clients and anticipate defense strategies.
Brenda is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state district courts, appellate courts, and federal courts, including the United States District Courts for the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of Louisiana. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Association for Justice, and the Lafayette Bar Association.
